Provenance
The steam packet The General Abbatucci sank off the North Corsican coast in May 1869. Part of her cargo was a shipment of jewellery destined for Italy, believed to have been part of a jeweller's stock. After professional cleaning the jewellery was sold with other recovered items through these rooms on 7th October 1997.
