A rare late 19th-Century seismograph,
unsigned, the lacquered-brass and nickel-plated delicate mechanism mounted on a vulcanite plinth base with three adjustable screw feet, with glazed drum cover, the upper and lower sections with lacquered-brass collars, the underside of the instrument fitted with three-point electrical wire contact with fruitwood wall fitting for use with household electrical terminal -- 9¾in. (24.8cm.) high
