A mid-19th Century brass and ferrous metal model single cylinder overcrank engine,
with brass cylinder approximately 1¼in. bore x 1½in. stroke, draincocks and pipes, centrally mounted valve chest, eyebolts and stuffing boxes, cylinder head and valve chest lubricators, inlet manifold with flanged joints, main stop and governor valves, barrelled forked connecting rod with wedged and strapped big end, the crankshaft mounted in trunnions supported on the pierced entablature in turn supported on four parallel columns with 'acorn' finials. Further details include floor mounted, rod and eccentric driven feed pump with inlet and delivery pipes and bleed valve, rope driven Watt governor and linkage and curved spoked flywheel with rope groove, the whole mounted on a cast iron bed with railings (some old rust and pitting) --21 x 13in. (53.3 x 33cm.)
