An 18th Century 2½-inch reflecting telescope,
signed on the back plate WATKINS, Charing Cross LONDON, the body-tube with screw-rod focusing for the secondary mirror, with primary and secondary speculum mirrors, eyepiece extension with shade cap (shade missing), secured to a limb by two knurled screws, on compass joint and tapering pillar support over the folding stand, the cabriole legs terminating with inswept feet, overall length -- 16½in. (42cm.)
