signed on the silvered compass dial Troughton & Simms LONDON, with edge-bar needle, the jewelled cap with needle stop, the base engraved Fredk. Wood. Rugby -- 43/8in. (11.1cm.) high; a lacquered-brass box sextant, signed Elliott Bros London, with leather carrying case -- 3¼in. (8.2cm.) dia.; an oxidised-brass Abney's level, signed Gluck sues. Mexico; a lacquered-brass swinging-arm protractor, signed Stanley London, and further engraved Geo. Holbis, in mahogany case -- 8¾in. (22.2cm.) wide; an oxidised and lacquered-brass surveying level by Stanley, in revolver-shaped leather carrying case -- 9½in. (24.1cm.) long; and two other items (A Lot)
