signed Le Febvre Paris the horizontal plate engraved for latitudes 10°, 45° and 50°, the compass with finely modelled blued iron needle with brass cap, the folding bird gnomon with engraved scroll decoration for latitudes 35° - 60°, the underside engraved with the names and latitudes of nineteen continental cities and towns --25/8in. (6.7cm.) long
