A well engineered 5in. gauge model of the G.N.R. Stirling Single No.1,
built by Geo. S. Stubbs with brazed copper boiler built by Swindon Boilers with fittings including water and pressure gauges, saftey, blower, steam brake, injector, clack and blowdown valves. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with inside Stephenson's link reverse, strapped, bolted and wedged big ends with split brasses, footplate controlled draincocks, mechanical lubricator, injector, steam operated brake gear, front sanding boxes and pipes and other details. Tender details include dummy leaf springs, hand feed pump, hand operated brake gear, riveting, steps, hand and lamp irons, finished in green, brown, black and polished brightwork -- 15 x 57½in. (38 x 146cm.)
Showtrack, display base, perspex cover and steel table. Measurements overall -- 49 x 15¼ x 72in. (124.5 x 38.7 x 183cm.)
