the double doors each with fitted compartments for six bottles (four bottles lacking), opening to reveal a shelf of four bottles, the two drawers below containing a steel balance with brass pans and weight, a glass pestel and mortar, two ointment pots and three smaller bottles, the rear of the chest with slide revealing the 'poison compartment' with four bottles, one with label for W.H.MAY, SPIRIT HARTSHORN. 38, LAMB'S CONDUIT STREET, LONDON, the chest with inset brass carrying handle -- 10¾.in.
