A CONTINENTAL GILT-BRASS MINIATURE LANTERN CLOCK WITH ALARM
Unsigned; possibly Italian, second half 17th century
The gilt dial plate engraved with foliage on a hatched ground and applied with a brass Roman chapter ring with later brass hand and central alarm disc, the two train movement with verge and balance wheel escapement, countwheel and alarm on the bell above flanked by four turned brass finials supported on faceted gothic angle columns, the gilt side doors engraved with foliage on a hatched ground
