Unsigned; case late 16th century, chapter ring and movement 19th century
The case on hairy paw feet to each angle supporting out-set foliate cast baluster columns to the frieze cast with figures, birds and foliage with one corner pierced for the bell, rope twists engraved on a band around the brass dial engraved with winged cherub heads to the spandrels, later engraved brass Roman chapter ring with foliate engraved centre screwed to the original twice XII chapter ring engraved on the dial plate beneath with the original touch-pieces, the associated four pillar movement with going barrels for the going train with verge escapement and for the hour strike on a bell fixed to the backplate; case and dial late 16th century, chapter ring and movement 19th century
