The owner of this clock has related how as a young man in the early 1960's he came across this clock on the wall of a barber's shop in Pudweiss, Austria. It was apparently in poor condition with much of the hood door veneer missing but it was still working. The Barber was apparently amazed that anyone should want to buy such an unfashionable clock and took the offer with great haste!
