The boxwood-lined case glazed to the sides and front door with concave moulding to the base and arched top with carved mouldings finely, cast and chased ormoulu bezel to the white enamel Roman chapter disc signed Franz Heckel in Wien with delicately pierced and sculpted blued steel hands, the four pillar movement with three weight-driven trains, the going-train with deadbeat escapement, the hour and quarter trains striking on two blued steel gongs of circular section mounted to the seatboard; with ebonised wood-rod pendulum and three brass-cased weights
