$2½, 1857-S MS-62 (PCGS). Sharply struck with frosty light yellow gold lustre. A few very minor surface marks are visible, primarily on the obverse. The reverse is very close to gem quality. Similar in quality to the remarkable example in Part II of the Harry W. Bass, Jr. Collection, this is one of the very finest specimens to appear on the market.
