88 mm. x 21 mm. x 17 mm. Bright greenish gold with several depressions, especially on the back, as made. The face is stamped NO. 5213 at left, .722 FINE above, and VALUE $249.99 below. The back is blank with heavy depressions from the mold, and with minor fissures. Front edge is stamped with the weight, 16.75 OZ, this being inverted. Back edge is inscribed BLAKE & CO. ASSAYERS SACRAMENTO. Left and right edges are blank, each with a corner trimmed for assay. Net gold weight 12.09 ounces with a value of $20.67 per ounce, the same Mint standard value used by the assayer to evaluate all Blake & Co. gold ingots in the present sale.
