Front edge: Blank with lower right corner truncated by assayer's cut. Back edge: No. 737 upside down relative to face. Left edge: Blank with lower right corner truncated by assayer's cut. Right edge: Blank with upper right corner truncated by assayer's cut.
Mottled autumnal tones of brown and coppery orange over lustrous medium yellow gold surfaces. Very attractive and without heavy encrustation or detail-obscuring scale. Unusual insofar as it has no identifying stamp of the assayer due to its prohibitively small faces, but we may safely attribute it to Kellogg and Humbert through its serial number proximity to other Kellogg and Humbert bars found and distinctive puncheons, such as the punctuation below O of NO. preceding the serial number. A very interesting small-size bar.
