An ivory netsuke of a woman on an elephant
19th Century, incised signatures to bases
the woman seated on top of the elephant wearing robes and a celestial scarf holding a basket of fruit, with her child hiding to the rear of the animal, on an oval base -- 21/8in. (5.4cm.) high; and another ivory netsuke of a seated man, wearing a hat and robes holding a pipe beside a bowl and a jar -- 1½in. (3.9cm.) wide, (minor rubbing).

On the Friday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £17.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.00 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
