A silver kodansu
early 20th century
with shaped carrying handle and hinged door to one end, incised with scattered pine and bamboo sprigs, the interior containing three coloured lacquer drawers with silver handles, decorated with sprays of blossom, the reverse of the door with a similarly dceorated lacquer panel -- 7in. (17.8cms) long, stamped mark to base rim, (some minor chips to edges of lacquer).
