The going barrel movement with bimetallic balance to lever platform, the Roman dial with blued steel spade hands (later minute hand) within a blue and gilt border framing a painted river scene, the side panels painted alternately with a boy and a girl on a swing suspended from a tree within blue borders, the rear door with a similar panel painted with a mill on a riverbank, the canalée case engraved with flowers on a hatched ground, typical handle to the similarly engraved top
