The present unpublished panel joins a group of eleven dated works from 1647 recorded by Vroom (see N.R.A. Vroom, A Modest Message, II, Schiedam, 1980, pp. 33-34). It relates closely to the picture, also upright, of 1647, sold in these Rooms, 7 July 2000, lot 14 (sold £100,000).
