The silvered dial signed and numbered BARRAUD & LUNDS MAKERS TO THE ROYAL NAVY. 14 Bishopsgate Within E.C. 2496, Roman hour numerals, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down dials, blued steel hands, main-frame assembly carrying reversed fusee, barrel and centre wheel, sub-frame assembly with semi-circular chain guard carrying remainder of the train and Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic balance with cylindrical heat compensation weights, blued steel helical balance spring, spring foot detent with steel locking pallet, brass bowl and gimbal, three-tier ebony box with quarter-round brass edging and parallel brass stringing to front and top lid, the front of middle section with inset mother-of-pearl rectangular plaque inscribed BARRAUD & LUNDS 2496
