The case of typical form with concave moulding beneath the square base with detachable door, the glazed rectangular trunk with detachable door and typical boxwood inlay, the architectural hood with ripple mouldings and glazed to the side, the 8 in. sq. silvered dial signed Breguet and with finely sculpted blued steel hands with counterpoised minute hand, strike/silent lever above XII, the typical four pillar three train movement with deadbeat escapement, quarter chiming on a blued steel gong with hour strike on bell above; three brass-cased weights and ebonised woodrod pendulum swinging against a white enamel beat-scale in the base of the case
