Comprising: twelve cups and saucers with eleven Lenox porcelain inserts, the saucers plain with initial "D", the cups of pierced openwork with angular reeded handles, together in the original fitted boxes.

Lot Essay

A gift to Mr. and Mrs. Courtney Campbell by the United States House of Representatives in 1921 on the occassion of their wedding. Mrs. Campbell, nee Margaret Green, was the daughter of William Raymond Green who served as a Republican from Iowa and was Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee from 1923-1928.
