A late Regency rosewood four-glass mantel timepiece

The case with foliate cast gilt-brass handle to the stepped top with bevelled glazed viewing aperture, similar glazing to the sides, the ogee-moulded base supported on acanthus-cast gilt-brass feet, silvered mask to the white enamel Roman chapter disc with pierced blued steel hands, foliate engraved gilt spandrel mask, the four pillar single chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, pendulum holdfast to the back-plate engraved Wm. Grant. London.
