MAKER'S MARK ILLEGIBLE, NUREMBURG, FIRST HALF 17TH CENTURY
the coconut mounted in a silver gilt strapwork body, each strap terminating in a lion mask motif, with an engraved foliate scroll motif rim, raised on a spreading dome foot engraved with scroll and shell motifs on a granulated ground with a centrally knopped shell motif stem, with a similar copper-gilt cover with a figural finial - height of cup 19 cm.
