Lombardy, early 18th Century, the bone inlay 19th Century
Inlaid overall with simulated panels with scrolling foliage issuing from cherubs, armorial shields and husk trails, the rectangular top centred by a vase, above a hinged waved flap inlaid with gods on charriots, enclosing a fitted interior with a small door and two small drawers, above a writing-surface with a well, flanked by shaped angles, with two small drawers, the waved base with three drawers, the sides inlaid with a maiden, on a moulded base and on later bracket feet, restorations to the veneers, the handles replaced
