Lot Essay

A design for the unrealised production of the ballet Snegurochka by A.K. Glazunov from the play by A.N. Ostrovskii, to have been produced by the Russian Ballet of Vera Nemchinova in Paris in 1930, staged by Bronislava Nijinska with designs by Chekhonin.
