Engraved on the reverse mount in Russian 'In fond memory from K.V. Khagalin and M.M.Beliamin 30 May 1907', with later pin and catch, marked on mount, in the original wooden fitted box, the cover stamped in Russian 'Fabergé St.Petersburg Moscow Odessa' with Imperial warrant

The workmaster is possibly Ivan Fedorovich Koistinen, a goldsmith in St. Petersburg, who worked for Fabergé (according to Eugene Fabergé); see T.F. Fabergé, A.S. Gorynia and V.V. Skurlov, Fabergé and Petersburg Jewellers, (St. Petersburg, 1997), p.125.
