An electroplated hip flask modelled as a facsimile of a book, Bittersweet by Noël Coward, half-calf, with tooled inscription on front cover With best wishes, Noel Coward -- 4¼x3in. (10.8x7.6cm.); and a William IV snuff box of rectangular form with engine-turned base and lid, the lid with raised edge cast with flowerhead decoration, vacant cartouche, gilt interior, Birmingham 1830, the inside of the lid inscribed To Sheila, from Noel Coward, "Pacific 1860" -- 3x1½in. Lot Essay

This hipflask and snuff box were given by Noël Coward to Sheila Rawle who worked for him on his productions during the 1930s and 1940s. Pacific 1860 had a brief run in 1946 at the Theatre Royal in Drury Lane.
