Hailed at the time as a cinematic masterpiece, Lawrence Of Arabia is still considered today to be one of David Lean's greatest achievements. It won an Academy Award for Best Picture, and Peter O'Toole and Omar Shariff won nominations for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor respectively.
