Lot Essay

The white monogrammed glove is the trademark 'calling card' of The Phantom, the notorious international jewel thief who always seems to be one step ahead of Inspector Clouseau. In The Curse Of The Pink Panther the white glove was framed for the wall of the Clouseau Museum, Blake Edward's facsimile signature is a later addition. The right hand glove was a spare, possibly used for rehearsals in other Pink Panther films.
