Maker's mark of Carro & Willcock, Birmingham 1861
The tripartite base with beaded edge and moulded and shell cast apron having three addorsed hippocamps flanking the fluted, anthemion cast shaft, issuing three branches with ram's head terminals, beaded drip-pans and reeded sockets, having a beaded bowl, to the centre, for a glass bowl (now lacking); on a circular mirror-topped plateau with beaded and moulded rim raised on anthemion and scroll feet
