Crossbanded overall, the rounded eared rectangular green baize-lined hinged top with four oval counterwells and four circular candlestands, the concertina-action with a later box, above a plain frieze, on cabriole legs headed by a satyr mask and with paw feet, with remains of depository label to the underside for 'Reeves' depositories WOKINGHAM', one angle-bracket replaced, the legs with remains of 19th Century varnish

This unusual card-table, with its carved satyr-mask angles and claw feet, is of closely similar vein to the concertina-action example formerly owned by Percival Griffiths and sold from the collection of Sir James Caird, in these Rooms, 8 July 1993, lot 75.
