The same exaggerated line of the scrolled bracket and protruding lion-mask appear on a mahogany settee attributed to Giles Grendey of Clerkenwell and illustrated in G. Beard and J. Goodison, English Furniture 1500-1840, Oxford, 1987, p. 65, fig. 3.
