The shaped rectangular padded back, sides, outscrolled arms and seat covered in yellow velvet, the front of the back and the seat-cushion covered in floral material on an ivory ground, on cabriole legs headed by C-scrolls with pad feet, stamped 'WH' to the top of both front legs, previously with castors, both back legs largely replaced in beech, repairs to back the feet, some angle-brackets replaced, with depository label to the seat-rail for 'SIMPKINS DEPOSITORY, COLCHESTER and inscribed in ink 'Wren'
