The circular gilt dial with a gilt and a blued steel hand, etched with arabic numerals, the outer ring etched with the inscription Bernon Opten/Rue du Roule 1/Paris, in a beaded bezel and with a circular convex glass pane, with a thermometer above, with a gilt face engraved with centigrades and Reamur, the case of typical form mounted with a ribbon-tied floral wreath and a stylised flowerhead
