We are grateful to Mr. Fred Meijer for informing us that he believes the present picture is by Pieter Andreas Rysbraeck (1690-1748). He points out that Rysbraeck borrowed the rabbit from David de Coninck, a motif which recurs in the Coninck's art: see, for example, lot 283 in this sale.
