Sandemans Bone Dry Old Amontillado
Very bin-soiled and torn labels. Good levels
These magnums of Sherry were originally purchased at Christie's sale of 24th June 1982 which featured huge stocks shipped direct from The House of Sandeman. At the time, Michael Broadbent noted the Bone Dry Old Amontillado as: "Approximately 18 years old. Strength: 18.2 by volume, fully fermented out and unsweetened. Light yellow-gold, still relatively pale for its age; bouquet high-toned, surprisingly sweet, rich, tangy; completely dry, lightish style, yet intense with underlying richness, elegant, nutty flavour, dry almost salty finish. A fine example of a natural dry, unforced, cask-aged Amontillado of the highest quality. Perfect pre-prandial."
