A Wedgwood creamware chintz-pattern globular teapot and cover
Circa 1770, incised X to base
Painted in the workshop of David Rhodes with pink foliage-moulded spout, scroll handle and pierced ball finial, the body and cover decorated with an allover pattern of overlapping puce flowerheads, iron-red, black, grey-green and yellow cell-pattern and line bands divided by iron-red flowers with black foliage (minute chip and associated crack to spout)
