A French brass carriage timepiece with full calendar, late 19th century
The fluted pillars case with filigree gallery mounts, solid side panels applied with pendant mounts, the off-white enamel Roman dial with outer concentric calendar ring numbered at two day intervals, openwork mount to the centre, blued steel time hands and brass date hand, date adjusted at top of case, the subsidiary rings below for day of week and month also with conforming centres, the single barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement -- 5in. (12.5cm.) high
