A Viennese silver and enamel desk timepiece, circa 1880
The oval case surmounted by a figure of a cherub, painted with floral motifs to the sides (restored), the reverse with two ladies beside a pond and the inside with another beside an athenienne, on hooded hawk support, atop a tree stump entwined with branches, on domed base (small chips to top) painted with mythological figures and on bacchic mask feet, Roman dial also decorated with enamels, with English pocket watch movement signed HUNT London -- 8in. (20cm.) high
