An Empire ormolu mantel clock with musical movement in its base, first quarter 19th century
The case surmounted by the seated figure of a young lady playing a square piano, flanked by eagles resting on orbs, applied with stellar mounts around the dial, on rectangular base with relief mount to the front of young lovers in a rustic landscape, on milled feet, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic quarters (chips to winding holes) and incised gilt hands, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell, with trip (connection lacking) to musical movement housed in the ebonised plinth below, the key-wind musical movement playing four operatic airs with right-hand bass, two-tooth sectional comb, numbered 1089, the cylinder 8¾in. (17.3cm.) long; 19¼in. (49cm.) high, 13½in. (34.5cm.) wide overall

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday following the sale and every week-day from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Please note that there will be no charge to purchasers who collect their lots within one week of the sale.
On the Thursday, one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
