The case with moulded lunette cresting, topped and flanked by brass flambeau urn finials, with breakarch glazed side panels, the front door flanked by ormolu pilasters, on inverted breakfront base with stiff leaf wrapped toupie feet, the velvet-covered dial applied with a gilt-brass Roman chapter ring with engraved outside Arabic five minutes, with an ormolu scroll and cartouche mount below, pierced and engraved hands, the later twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell to top (lacking) -- 23½in. (60cm.) high
