A Victorian mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, second quarter 19th century
The case with dentil mouldings to the broken arch pediment of the hood, glazed side panels, outset spiral-twist columns with brass composite capitals, section of side moulding lacking, with spiral-twist three quarter pilasters flanking the breakarch trunk door with line inlay and central conch shell patera, above plinth with central floral urn marquetry, later base, lacking backboard, the 13in. wide white dial with oval reserve to the arched painted with a sleeping girl, fruit spandrels, subsidiary seconds and date rings to the centre, with brass crescent moon hands, with falseplate to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; possibly associated -- 89½in. (227cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday following the sale and every week-day from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Please note that there will be no charge to purchasers who collect their lots within one week of the sale.
On the Thursday, one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
