An English mahogany longcase regulator
The case with breakarch hood with rectangular glazed side panels and reeded chamfered angles, brass foliate scroll inlaid fielded panels to the front, the breakarch trunk door with moulded frame and flanked by fluted chamfered three quarter angles, on stepped plinth with quatreform panel and later skirting, the 12in. diameter silvered dial of regulator format, with blued steel hands and signed Baylis Bristol, now within a silvered slip, with various restored cracks, the four baluster pillar movement with shouldered plates, Graham's deadbeat escapement and Harrison's maintaining power, wheels with six crossings, the wood rod pendulum with brass bob and calibrated rating nut suspended from the backplate; case associated to dial and movement, first half 19th century -- 79in. (201cm.) high

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday following the sale and every week-day from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Please note that there will be no charge to purchasers who collect their lots within one week of the sale.
On the Thursday, one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
