A Caughley Royal crested punch-bowl painted with the Badge of George IV as Prince of Wales
Circa 1785
Possibly decorated at the Chamberlain's decorating workshop at Worcester, the interior in puce, blue and gilt with the Royal Crest with a label for difference within the Garter motto and with the Royal Crown above, as borne by the Royal Dukes, within an elaborate gilt foliage and loop-pattern cartouche within a border of blue and gilt navette-shaped medallions suspending swags of husks, the exterior similarly decorated (piece broken from rim and riveted)
