Painted with Ester kneeling before King Ahasuerus, the King holding out his golden sceptre signifying that he would receive her, beneath a striped green and yellow canopy flanked by four soldiers, on a blue and yellow tiled floor, before an arch with a view of a distant fortified town at the foot of a mountain (slight crack and repaired chip at 12 o'clock, small crack to underside of rim and minute glaze flaking to rim)
