Two Sicilian waisted albarelli
Early 17th century
The first painted with Cupid holding a ladder within an oval ochre cartouche, reserved on a turquoise ground with blue, ochre and yellow flowers and scrolls (chipped, crack to top rim, some flaking), 11¼in. (28.5cm.) high; the second similarly decorated with Cupid, the reverse with two panels of indistinct decoration on a yellow ground between borders of cable and foliage ornament (cracks to body, restoration to top rim), 9½in. (24cm.) high (2)
