Further details
The scene is the watermeadows adjoining Briggens Park, the estate of Charles Phelips (1794-1870) near Stanstead Abbots. He was Master for 25 years, ably supported by Tom Pitts, Huntsman and life long servant, seen here on the right of the picture.
