Circa 1775, blue crowned interlaced L mark, painter's mark of Buteux in purple and gilder's mark 2000 for Vincent in iron-red, incised script SP
The centre with the initials CL in gilt and pink roses, within a border of three castles enclosed by gilt diaper and oeil-de-perdrix borders entwined with trailing pink roses between three kidney-shaped panels with figures in landscapes, one with figures fishing and another with a hunting scene within gilt bands flanked by gilt berried foliage and scrolls and suspending pink rose garlands, gilt line rim (the border broken in several pieces and restuck, filled and retouched between 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock, some retouching to gilding, repaired rim chip at 3 o'clock, slight flakings to panels)

From the Service des Asturies ordered by Louis XV for his grand-daughter Maria Luisa of Parma (1751-1819), grand-daughter of Louis XV of France, princess of the Asturias and wife of Charles IV of Spain. There were a total of 466 pieces in the service which cost 22,015 livres. The order was completed by Louis XVI because of the death of Louis XV on 10 May 1774. It was based on different engravings by C.J. Vernet, S. della Bella, C. Van Falens and G. Perelle.
