A Paris (Brussels-decorated) part tea and coffee-service
Circa 1800
Painted en grisaille with Cupid at various pursuits in wooded landscape vignettes within circular gilt cartouches flanked by gilt swags of husks and scrolling foliage beneath bands of gilt foliage and between gilt line rims, comprising:
A cylindrical teapot and a cover (slight chips to spout)
A baluster coffee-pot and a cover with gilt lion's mask spout
A slender oviform milk-jug
A bucket-shaped sugar-bowl and cover (finial repaired)
A slop-bowl (star crack to base)
Twelve coffee-cans with gilt ear-shaped handles (one can cracked)
Twelve saucers, the centres with three arrows tied with a ribbon (one saucer with restored rim chip and with star crack to centre)
